You Have It All Backwards tells the story of a Syrian Muslim woman’s journey from university lecturer in Homs, Syria to shop cleaner in Ireland. Originally commissioned for and performed as part of the hugely successful No Borders Theatre Production whose mission was to raise awareness of the issues facing refugees and to raise funds for associated charities it subsequently went on to be performed as a solo piece.

Audience Reaction to You Have It All Backwards

“An amazing piece of work - got to the core. Pauline O’Driscoll  captured the very essence of her character.”

"I saw this play at the Engage Arts Festival, what a wonderful emotional experience, thank you to all involved, especially Pauline O’Driscoll, your work moved me to tears, you made me feel what I've only ever been reading and commenting on but never actually feeling ..... I was overwhelmed by the reaction this incredible one-woman play had on us as an audience. It is such an educational piece and it should be seen in every corner of our green and pleasant safe haven where it would educate and move those who have never faced such fears”
