Donations

You can now offer customers the opportunity to make a donation to you/your organisation during the booking process.  To add the donation option to your booking:

  • Go to "Settings" | "Donations".
  • Tick the box next to "Offer customers the option to make a donation to (Your Company Name Here) when booking".
  • Enter a description for the donation (this will appear on your booking pages), e.g. 'Please donate to the restoration fund', 'Please donate for XXXX charity'.
  • The donation can be open ended (i.e. customer can donate as much or as little as they would like) or can be multiple choice where you add the suggested donation amounts (e.g. £5 / £10 / £15, etc.).
  • Click on "save changes".

Gift Aid

If you are a registered charity in the UK and therefore entitled to receive Gift Aid donations, you can choose to display an additional option to your customers to "giftaid it", enabling your charity to reclaim 25p of tax on every £1 that the customer donates.

To set up Gift Aid:

  • Go to "Settings | Donations".
  • Follow the above instruction to allow donations on your account.
  • Under "Gift Aid Options" tick to confirm that your company is a registered charity and entitled to receive Gift Aid donations.
  • Click on "save changes".

A donations report is included in your final event statement email providing you with a full breakdown of all your donations, and the monies transferred to you at the same time as your event settlement.

A small administration fee of 5.0% will be deducted from all donations made by credit or debit card using our merchant facility to cover costs.  

Please note that if an event is cancelled, the donations will be refunded to the customer.
