Importing and Exporting Your Customers

A customer database may be useful for keeping track of members and will allow you to use the Membership price category. This would require the customer's unique membership number to access the price and would be locked to the general public. It will also allow for faster entry when making in-house bookings as you will be able to select and auto-fill details from a customer's record.

Importing a List of Customers

You can Import your customers' contact details in a few steps:

  1. Go to Customers and select Import Customers
  2. Click on the orange Upload Customers button and select your import file.
  3. The format can be either comma-separated value (CSV) or Microsoft Excel spreadsheet (XLS) format
  4. Choose which customer details and fields you want to import.
  5. Click the Import Customers button to complete

Exporting a List of Customers

You can Export your customers' contact details in few steps:

  1. Go to Customers and select Export Customers
  2. Use the first drop down box to select the event.
  3. Choose how much data you want to export under Export detail
  4. Select your marketing options under Marketing Consent
  5. Click export customers
  6. An Excel spreadsheet will be created that will provide the data you have requested.

Ticket Management Settings

There are various ticket settings that you can choose to suit the nature of your business or customer requirements. To view or change the ticket setting options, go to Settings and select Tickets.

Ticket Delivery

There are three different ticket delivery options available to customers who book online:

This is a Free ticketing option. Customers can print their e-ticket from the confirmation page at the end of the booking.  An email with the e-tickets attached will also be sent to the customer's email address as soon as the booking is confirmed.

Mobile ticket

This ticketing option costs the customer 50p. TicketSource will send the customer their ticket as an SMS or MMS text message. The mobile ticket will contain the booking reference, event name, date and time, number of tickets and seat numbers and the customer is required to show this text message and will act as their ticket.

Posted Ticket

This ticketing option will cost the customer £1.75. TicketSource will send tickets and wristbands by post up to 96 hours prior to the performance.  This feature is not currently available in Europe/America.

You can switch on or off the various delivery options by going to Settings and selecting Tickets.

Thermal / Printed Tickets

If you have a thermal ticket printer (Dymo or Citizen CL Thermal printer) and would like to print your in-house tickets, click the 'Enable thermal ticket printing of your in-house bookings' box and follow the guidelines for TicketSource Printserver.  TicketSource Printserver is our thermal ticket printing solution which enables Event Organisers to print tickets from their TicketSource account directly to their thermal ticket printer.
