Tuesday 23rd April - Saturday 27th April @ 8pm

The Cork Arts Theatre ‘Views from…’ short play event has proven to be a very popular annual event with our audiences since its inception in 2015.

Each year we put a call out for short, 10 minute plays for a chosen setting. And each year authors from around the globe have risen to the challenge by submitting some wonderful scripts. Last year’s event saw a record entry of 63 plays entered! However, only a small number of those plays can be staged.

This year the setting is ‘Views from a Harbour’ and, once again, we have a wonderful line-up of plays for you to enjoy.

The plays that were selected for production are:

  • “Tides” by Chloe Murphy. Directed by Samantha Kelleher.
  • “Togetherness” by Jonathon Hughes. Directed by Saoirse Garet.
  • “Overlooking Tralee Bay” by Noel King, Directed by Cormac O’Connor.
  • “Patron Saints” by Jill Brewer. Directed by Dolores Dermody.
  • “Quite A Catch” by Mike O’Dowd. Directed by Zoe Conlon.
  • “We’ll Meet Again” by Aaron Cowming. Directed by Aaron Cowming.
  • “Nationwide” by Laura Reidy. Directed by Orlaith McManus.
  • “Fisherwoman” by Dillon Harris. Directed by Mary Conway.

Once again, we are indebted to our talented and dedicated team of actors, directors and crew who put so much work in to create a most enjoyable evening with something for everyone.
